Responsibilities
- Design and build the single-security analytical modeling platform using C++23 and Python 3.
- Influence the strategic development of Aladdin analytical services by identifying bottlenecks and improving cloud-compute performance.
- Develop modules, applications, APIs, and observability pipelines for accessing and using analytics.
- Lead complex implementations using scalable, modular, and distributed architectures.
- Translate technical and business requirements into maintainable production solutions.
- Collaborate with users, stakeholders, external-client teams, and global engineering partners to shape effective solutions.
- Mentor engineers and promote quality through automated testing, clean code, and reliable engineering practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of enterprise software development experience, including ownership of production services, platforms, or distributed systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Deep knowledge of software architecture, service design, APIs, data modeling, concurrency, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in C++17 or later and Python 3, with knowledge of design patterns, object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures.
- Ability to mentor engineers, lead ambiguous cross-functional initiatives, and deliver maintainable production systems.
- Familiarity with software testing, version control, continuous integration, CMake, Ninja, ccache, distcc, Google Protocol Buffers, Unix systems, profiling tools, Azure DevOps, bash or PowerShell, Microsoft SQL, and enterprise container orchestration platforms.
- Familiarity with agentic development principles and finance or fixed-income asset types is beneficial but not required.
