Base Salary
$148k - $267k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the analytics services portfolio covering search, aggregations, event rollups, telemetry analytics, and user-facing visualization services.
- Lead the design and delivery of Java-based analytics microservices and supporting ingestion, indexing, and reporting workflows.
- Define indexing, sharding, retention, and query strategies for operational telemetry and business-facing analytics workloads.
- Tune and optimize queries and service interactions to meet real-time mission workflow performance and latency requirements.
- Ensure analytics microservices are scalable, observable, and reliable across globally distributed deployments.
- Troubleshoot ingestion, indexing, query performance, user interface, and distributed-system issues.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret SCI clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems, or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of the degree.
- 15+ years of software, data platform, search, or analytics engineering experience, including 4+ years owning a major technical service domain.
- Strong hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana/Grafana, and Java-based microservices.
- Proven ownership of analytics or search architecture involving indexing, query design, aggregation patterns, and UI visualization.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across ingestion, indexing, query performance, UI layers, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Vue.js 3 or similar frameworks for analytics dashboards is desired.
- Experience with distributed microservices analytics or observability solutions, telemetry pipelines, distributed tracing, APM-driven analysis, Elasticsearch cluster optimization, and event pipelines or stream processors is desired.
