Responsibilities
- Design, configure, customize, and implement ServiceNow applications based on client business requirements.
- Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Business Analysts, project managers, implementation specialists, and stakeholders to define requirements and solution designs.
- Develop and maintain complex scripts, business rules, UI policies, workflows, and custom applications.
- Support data migration design and execution from legacy systems to ServiceNow while maintaining data accuracy and using appropriate ServiceNow data structures.
- Assist with ServiceNow integrations with other systems and applications, including REST API integrations.
- Create technical documentation covering configurations, customizations, data schemas, and technical decisions.
- Test ServiceNow configurations for functionality, data integrity, and user experience, and resolve identified issues.
- Support user training, change management, incident resolution, and problem resolution for implemented solutions.
- Apply security best practices and relevant compliance requirements to ServiceNow implementations.
- Stay current with ServiceNow capabilities and certifications, mentor Associate ServiceNow Developers, and share solutions and lessons learned.
- Communicate project risks, issues, successes, and status with internal teams and clients.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required, and the applicant must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance.
- The applicant must reside and perform the work in the United States.
- At least 6 years of software development experience is required.
- At least 2 years of experience implementing ServiceNow solutions is required.
- At least 1 year of scoped application or custom application development using ServiceNow App Engine is required.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving ServiceNow implementation issues, building integrations with REST APIs, customizing portals, scripting beyond basic ServiceNow scripts, and developing App Engine applications is desired.
- Experience with Agile Scrum, workflow configuration, business rule development, UI customization, and complex workflow development is desired.
- Strong JavaScript and GlideScript skills and in-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, modules, and best practices are required.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT Service Management principles is desired.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and client-interaction skills are required.
