Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain components for LSEG’s Elektron Real Time Data Distribution System.
  • Develop reliable and robust full-stack solutions using Java and modern frontend and backend frameworks.
  • Collaborate with product owners, team leads, architects, and global engineering teams to address customer needs.
  • Participate in Scrum meetings and provide timely updates on assigned work.
  • Develop knowledge of technologies and tools through on-the-job learning, certifications, and projects.
  • Maintain the team knowledge base and document technical issue resolutions.
  • Contribute to cloud development and migration initiatives.
  • Focus consistently on software quality and security.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of strong Java experience for cross-platform development, particularly on Linux.
  • Strong experience with the Spring framework.
  • Strong experience developing APIs using Spring Boot, JPA, JWT, OAuth2, and Dojo.
  • Strong experience with Angular, Node.js, and React.
  • Development and migration experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of Git concepts, development and release pipelines, branching strategies, release strategies, and CI/CD.
  • Excellent verbal communication and written documentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technical requirements and events.
  • Degree-level qualification in Computing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Preferred experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization and orchestration.
  • Preferred knowledge of building automation.
