Base Salary

$168k - $227k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and test software with embedded Linux.
  • Design, implement, deploy, and operate embedded software functions for Leo Customer Terminal devices.
  • Develop embedded software using Rust, C++, and C.
  • Participate in requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, and production operations.
  • Develop software in a secure compute environment and design and analyze state machines.
  • Support customer terminal deployments, production operations, and debugging.
  • Write technical design specifications.
  • Collaborate with hardware development, software development, product, and operations teams.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 7 years of programming experience with at least one programming language.
  • At least 7 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
  • Preferred: 10 or more years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: proficiency in system-level programming languages such as C++, Rust, or Go.
  • Preferred: experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and continuous integration.
  • Preferred: master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee due to export control requirements.
