Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications that meet client objectives and user needs.
- Design and write application code and maintain application databases.
- Analyze, optimize, remodel, and adapt existing software applications.
- Identify client needs and consult with clients during the design phase.
- Test applications extensively to identify and resolve bugs and errors.
- Install applications and provide technical advice.
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders regarding limitations, performance requirements, and interfaces.
- Produce software documentation and participate in product review and team meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Seasoned experience in software applications engineering, software development, or related work.
- Extended proficiency in Java and seasoned experience with programming languages including C, C++, Python, and Perl.
- Seasoned experience with Linux or Unix, Windows, and SQL.
- Knowledge of computer programming, application design, user-focused features, software development processes, and integrated development environments.
- Project management experience and/or experience working in an Agile environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, attention-to-detail, and complex-systems analysis skills.
- Programming-language certifications and Scrum or project management certification are preferred.
