Base Salary
$175k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate scalable, resilient distributed backend services on Kubernetes or ECS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expand Tinder’s service platform.
- Influence team roadmap and product development.
- Recruit, encourage, and develop other team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
- At least 2 years of industry work experience.
- Excellent knowledge of and experience with a backend language such as Java, Node.js, Go, or C++.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and coding.
- Experience designing and building distributed backend systems that handle high volumes of traffic.
- Ability to handle ambiguous business requirements with strong prioritization, time management, and execution skills.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform; DynamoDB or Cassandra; Redis; Elasticsearch; Kafka; Spark; TypeScript; Docker; and CI/CD.
- Passion for solving complex engineering problems and making continuous improvements.
