Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain large-scale data pipelines for threat intelligence ingestion, correlation, and operationalization.
  • Complete complex programming tasks and deliver major product features independently from ideation through production.
  • Design and ship scalable RESTful or gRPC APIs and low-latency, multi-regional backend services.
  • Participate in and lead architecture reviews, high-level design sessions, proof-of-concept efforts, and strategic technical initiatives.
  • Scale stateless and stateful services under production load and identify and resolve technical debt, bottlenecks, risks, and cross-team dependencies.
  • Deploy, operate, monitor, and support services in production, including participation in the on-call rotation.
  • Review code, establish maintainable coding practices, and drive quality improvements across the development lifecycle.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers through pairing, code examples, workshops, training, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Lead retrospectives, post-mortems, brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Senior-level software development experience with comprehensive knowledge of software development practices and strong coding and debugging ability.
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines on cloud-based platforms.
  • Proficiency with at least one major cloud platform and its native data and compute services, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with streaming frameworks such as Kafka, Spark Structured Streaming, or Flink.
  • Experience designing and shipping production-grade RESTful or gRPC APIs, including scaling and throughput management.
  • Experience scaling stateless and stateful services under production load, including low-latency, multi-regional backend systems.
  • Comfort deploying and operating services in containerized environments such as Kubernetes.
  • Experience working directly with internal customers to identify pain points and deliver implemented solutions.
  • Grounding in security best practices and standards.
  • Ability to take ownership of major product features, mentor team members, lead technical initiatives, and align engineering outcomes with organizational strategy.
  • Pragmatic approach to adopting AI where it provides meaningful value, with a high bar for quality and return on investment.
