Responsibilities
- Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure using MongoDB.
- Advise customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and the business value of MongoDB.
- Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline generation, technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, sizing, and documentation.
- Generate demand through technical initiatives, industry events, and account-based marketing activities.
- Build customer relationships, develop champions, and drive customer success and satisfaction.
- Provide field feedback to the product team and mentor other Solutions Consulting team members.
- Maintain ongoing product and industry knowledge through training and professional development.
Requirements
- Ideally 8–11 years of related customer-facing experience, including 5–7 years of pre-sales experience with enterprise software.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with modern scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C, C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Ability to evaluate complex application architectures and recommend improvements using technology.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills for explaining technical and business concepts to technology and business leaders.
- Ability to strategize with sales teams and coordinate internal and ecosystem resources around account plans.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience includes selling databases, deploying applications with major cloud providers, database programming, data modeling, data engineering, AI/ML projects, legacy-system modernization, MongoDB Certification, or Cloud Provider Certification.
- Understanding of sales frameworks such as MEDDPICC and Command of the Message is preferred.
