Base Salary
$170k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own full-stack marketing services and customer-facing web experiences for customer acquisition and retention.
- Design and develop high-scale APIs, event-driven services, and data pipelines running on AWS.
- Build measurement capabilities and integrate third-party advertising, analytics, messaging, and conversion platforms.
- Develop web and mobile features and experiments in collaboration with marketing, data, product, design, and engineering teams.
- Support incentive platforms, attribution and measurement systems, customer-facing web properties, lifecycle messaging, and campaign orchestration.
- Elevate team engineering standards through best practices and mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- 6+ years of hands-on Java experience and 3+ years of TypeScript experience.
- 3+ years of React or React Native experience, including modern React architectures and tooling.
- Experience building high-quality, high-performance responsive, SEO-conscious, conversion-optimized web and mobile UIs.
- Proficiency with Spring, Gradle, JUnit, and JVM memory and performance tuning.
- Experience with service-oriented architecture, REST APIs, webhooks, message queues, event-driven design, and scalable architectures.
- Experience with AWS, EKS, Aurora RDS, ElastiCache, DynamoDB, and containerization tools.
- Experience integrating and debugging third-party APIs and SDKs, including handling rate limits, partial failures, and reconciliation.
- Strong written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes growth engineering, marketing engineering or MarTech; Braze, Singular, AppsFlyer, Branch, Google Tag Manager, Amplitude, LaunchDarkly, or advertising and conversion APIs; attribution and identity resolution; privacy constraints; A/B testing; web performance optimization; headless or CMS tooling; Snowflake; GitHub Actions; Git; DataDog; CDK; Terraform; and mentoring engineers.
