Responsibilities
- Contribute to the long-term technical vision for multi-tenant service architecture.
- Lead the design of distributed systems that support global growth, high availability, scalability, and sub-millisecond latency.
- Partner with SRE and DevOps to improve automated scaling, self-healing infrastructure, and delivery pipelines.
- Mentor senior engineering staff and lead rigorous design reviews.
- Drive high-quality, maintainable software engineering practices.
- Lead adoption of AI across product capabilities and the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in a Principal or Staff role focused on large-scale SaaS.
- Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot for high-scale microservices, including JVM tuning, asynchronous programming, connection pooling, cache management, and API design.
- Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture, including consumer groups, partitioning, tenant fan-out, event sourcing, and exactly-once processing.
- Hands-on experience with LDAP and OpenSearch for large-scale identity and search workloads.
- Strong experience designing and operating applications on AWS.
- Working knowledge of React.js.
- Experience designing resilient, highly available, multi-tenant distributed systems with strong observability and operational excellence.
- Desirable experience with IAM, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SCIM provisioning, SAML federation, identity lifecycle management, Kubernetes, container orchestration, and enterprise SaaS platforms.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
