Responsibilities
- Lead the design of distributed systems capable of supporting rapid global growth with low latency.
- Design and implement high-scale services for a global, multi-tenant SaaS platform serving millions of identities.
- Partner with SRE and DevOps to improve CI/CD pipelines, automated scaling, and self-healing infrastructure.
- Drive technical design reviews and promote high-quality, maintainable code.
- Lead the technical adoption of AI across product capabilities and the software development lifecycle.
- Build and operate Java and Spring Boot microservices using asynchronous programming, caching, JVM tuning, connection pooling, and REST APIs.
- Develop event-driven architectures with Apache Kafka, including consumer groups, partitioning, tenant fan-out, event sourcing, and exactly-once processing.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of software engineering experience, including 4 or more years in a Staff role focused on large-scale SaaS.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Deep expertise with Java and Spring Boot for high-scale microservices.
- Strong understanding of Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Hands-on experience with LDAP and OpenSearch for large-scale identity and search workloads.
- Strong experience designing and operating applications on AWS.
- Working knowledge of React.js.
- Experience designing resilient, highly available, multi-tenant distributed systems with strong observability and operational excellence.
- Experience with IAM concepts and standards including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SCIM provisioning, and SAML federation is desirable.
- Experience with identity lifecycle management, Kubernetes, container orchestration, cloud-native deployment patterns, and enterprise SaaS is desirable.
- Experience with stringent security and compliance requirements is desirable.
