Base Salary
$179k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Deliver robust cloud-based solutions and collaborate with digital product managers to support customer-facing experiences.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify opportunities for refactoring, technical-debt reduction, and distributed-system performance improvement.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices and influence long-term technology strategy.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, 3+ years with databases, cloud technologies, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience includes open source frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, and infrastructure as code.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring engineers, observability and performance optimization, interactive AI tooling, cross-functional engineering leadership, and establishing coding standards and design patterns.
- A master’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
