Responsibilities

  • Set architectural vision and delivery approaches for complex software solutions across multiple technical domains.
  • Design and deliver AI and machine-learning-powered loyalty offers and experiences.
  • Drive system design, API development, and data modeling for secure, maintainable, scalable platforms.
  • Resolve the most technically demanding problems across the loyalty experience ecosystem.
  • Mentor engineering teams and promote technical excellence and innovation.
  • Champion scalable software development practices and operational excellence.
  • Build a functional understanding of the loyalty and travel foundations ecosystem, including capabilities, dependencies, and architectural boundaries.
  • Align engineering, product, data science, and platform leaders around high-impact technical decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 12+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Expertise in large-scale system architecture, technical decision-making, and delivery of complex solutions spanning multiple domains.
  • Strong technical depth across distributed services, cloud infrastructure, and applied AI, particularly frontend architecture.
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and shipping AI-powered products in production.
  • Experience building personalization, experimentation, recommendation, loyalty, or growth platforms at scale.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex AI and architectural concepts.
  • Ability to build alignment across teams without formal authority.
  • Preferred: experience leading architectural transformation and modernization initiatives for large distributed systems.
  • Preferred: full-stack engineering expertise with a frontend lean and the ability to work across multiple technical domains and platforms.
  • Preferred: experience making data- and operational-excellence-driven decisions for mission-critical systems.
  • Preferred: sound judgment balancing innovation, speed, scalability, and reliability.
  • Preferred: collaborative leadership that attracts strong engineers and helps them grow.
