Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify business opportunities and develop technology strategies aligned with customer objectives.
- Recommend integration strategies, architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure for complete solutions.
- Own technical relationships with Verizon customers through briefings, proof-of-concepts, and coordination of technical resources.
- Create customer solutions and use cases leveraging the Verizon portfolio.
- Develop and present sales proposals and RFP responses for enterprise customers.
- Represent Verizon at client sites, conferences, and related events, with expected travel of 25–50%.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an IT-related subject, or relevant work experience.
- Experience as a presales solution architect for a managed services provider serving multinational business customers.
- Experience interacting directly with customer stakeholders during sales processes.
- Experience architecting and developing network and cybersecurity solutions for large enterprise customers.
- Knowledge of software-defined networking, routing, VPNs, firewalls, and business information security.
- Experience in at least two of software-defined networking, IT infrastructure and systems security, cloud or network systems management, and business continuity.
- Willingness to travel as required and possession of a valid UK driver’s license.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with multinational organizations, global solutions, multiple concurrent deals or projects, emerging networking and cybersecurity technologies, and relevant industry certifications.
- Preferred certifications include AWS Solutions Architect, Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge, CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Design or Network Associate, and ITIL Foundations.
- Preferred experience includes designing solutions spanning data and IP services, cloud services, security services, or contact center technologies, plus using artificial intelligence tools to improve performance and efficiency.
