Responsibilities
- Build and maintain reusable mock backends, APIs, proof-of-concept applications, and demo infrastructure.
- Use LLMs and Generative AI to accelerate prototyping, debugging, and development of technical assets.
- Design contract-first REST and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Deploy demo infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and existing OIDC authentication patterns.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate mock services and resolve end-to-end demo issues.
- Partner with pre-sales consultants to turn client win themes into working technical artefacts and occasionally demonstrate them to clients.
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams on UI direction and develop ideas that showcase Kaluza’s capabilities.
- Set informal engineering standards, mentor pre-sales colleagues, and act as the Commercial team’s GenAI workflow expert.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and React.
- Deep experience using LLMs and Generative AI to build applications, debug issues, and accelerate development.
- Experience designing clean, documented REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Effective use of Git and GitHub workflows.
- Familiarity with AWS primitives and proven ability to deploy infrastructure with Terraform.
- Practical knowledge of OIDC-based authentication flows is advantageous.
- A portfolio of internal tools, sales demos, or high-fidelity AI-first proof-of-concepts is advantageous.
- Understanding of energy retailer challenges and experience contributing UX/UI design thinking are advantageous.
- Ability to translate ambiguous client requirements into working systems with initiative and autonomy.
