Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate backend systems for decision intelligence capabilities.
- Build services that reduce manual effort and enhance collaboration with carriers.
- Own and modernize core platform services like identity and access management.
- Transform logistics data into actionable insights for decision support.
- Partner with product and design teams to create scalable technical solutions.
- Build and operate systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Participate in on-call rotation and resolve issues across services.
- Improve system observability and operational tooling.
- Contribute to technical design discussions and code reviews.
- Mentor and support other engineers through code reviews.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building large-scale, cloud-based systems.
- Strong programming skills in Java and debugging proficiency.
- Experience designing and building scalable Java-based microservices.
- Familiarity with APIs and web services (REST, OpenAPI/Swagger).
- Experience with NoSQL and/or relational databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Postgres).
- Experience in an Agile software development environment.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools while maintaining code quality.
