Responsibilities
- Lead database design, development, and optimization engagements for public sector clients.
- Translate client data requirements into scalable, secure, and efficient database solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain database schemas, stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and other database objects.
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and manage ETL processes for integrating data from multiple sources.
- Implement database security, integrity, backup, and recovery mechanisms.
- Collaborate with application developers, data engineers, and analytics teams to support business requirements.
- Assist with data models, database architecture, and implementation strategies.
- Establish and strengthen client and internal relationships while managing service quality and client expectations.
Requirements
- Strong experience with database development using PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar relational database management systems.
- Hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Experience with database performance tuning, indexing, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of ETL processes, data integration, and database migration techniques.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in SQL and database design principles.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and handling large datasets.
- Ability to understand client requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.
- Experience with public sector projects.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- BTech, BCA, or MCA qualification.
- Adaptability to long-term travel and changing work requirements.
