Responsibilities
- Develop, design, modify, and test desktop and mobile web applications and systems.
- Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems for complex web applications.
- Implement features and user interfaces that optimize the performance of user-facing products.
- Interface with customers and company stakeholders to understand business needs and identify technical solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers through peer code reviews, documentation, and other agile practices.
- Create project build specifications and PRDs.
- Lead projects from PRD through deployment with backend and front-end engineers while ensuring code quality, testing, and production readiness.
- Make and execute technical decisions as an early member of the engineering team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience.
- 3+ years specifically owning a React/NextJS project; TypeScript experience is a plus.
- Experience scaling front-end state and caching and handling large amounts of data in a product.
- Experience proactively improving overall code quality.
- Experience owning the UI of a large product or feature from start to finish.
- Very strong communication skills and understanding of how front-end systems relate to backend data and API calls.
- Ability to work at a fast pace and reduce project scope when appropriate.
- Experience deploying and hosting a project on Vercel is a preferred qualification.
- Passion for consumer brands and interest in loyalty programs are preferred qualifications.
- Interest in keeping current with NextJS updates and solving complex NextJS issues is a preferred qualification.
