Responsibilities
- Own the design and development of application sub-components and reusable capabilities for the Loan Portfolio Mitigation Application (IRIS).
- Develop and support scalable Java microservices and provide technical oversight across the application.
- Mentor and guide a small team of Java developers and help remove technical, architectural, and process roadblocks.
- Collaborate with business analysts, business users, developers, QA teams, and technology stakeholders to deliver and test requirements.
- Monitor business, technical, and infrastructure issues and propose creative solutions.
- Track delivery progress, communicate updates to stakeholders, and support sprint planning and execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in Information Technology.
- Proven experience designing and developing enterprise-scale applications.
- Expertise in Java 17 or above, microservices, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, and the OpenShift ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases and complex SQL query writing and tuning.
- Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, caching frameworks, password and secret vaults, logging, scheduling tools, and software delivery processes.
- Experience with tools including Copilot, Claude, Devin, Cursor, Sonar, Harness, Tekton, Git, JUnit, Selenium, Kibana, and AutoSys.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Spark SQL, Hive, Cloudera, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Angular, or React is a plus.
- Java or Spring certification is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile teams and proficiency with Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, and delivery tracking.
