Responsibilities
- Design and implement operating-system components including kernels, synchronization primitives, resource allocators, memory management, security, I/O systems, and persistence.
- Develop efficient device drivers and services for constrained environments requiring high-volume, low-latency, and high-bandwidth data handling.
- Own workstreams covering hardware bring-up, peripheral drivers and communication, silicon integration, and power and performance optimization.
- Debug complex system-level issues spanning kernel, firmware, software, and application layers.
- Profile performance issues and drive optimizations across the full software stack.
- Bring up new devices and lead debugging and performance-tuning efforts across hardware, firmware, and software teams.
- Integrate components from partner teams into the unified product codebase and drive their continued development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience in device driver development, embedded systems, or operating systems.
- At least 2 years of experience working on systems software in a large-scale C/C++ codebase.
- Experience with source control, bug tracking, design documentation, and hardware bring-up using interfaces such as ADC, GPIO, SPI, and I2C.
- Experience in one or more of SoC BSP, operating systems, Android OS, RTOS/Zephyr, bootloaders, power management, Linux, graphics and display drivers, or MCU development.
- Experience developing, debugging, and shipping software products across large codebases, platforms, and tools.
- Preferred experience with Qualcomm SoC solutions, cross-functional collaboration, AI skill development, AI workflow integration, and responsible AI practices.
- Preferred experience in at least two of BSP, operating systems, hardware abstraction layers, kernels, Android Kernel, bootloaders, power management, Linux, graphics and display drivers, or MCU development.
