Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable RESTful microservices with ASP.NET Core Web API, .NET 8, and CQRS.
- Own core services for Order Management, Inventory, Pricing, Catalog Sync, and Notifications.
- Integrate with Amazon SP-API, Walmart Marketplace API, ERP systems, payment gateways, and tax services.
- Support legacy services during a phased migration and connect new services to existing systems.
- Write unit, integration, and BDD tests using xUnit, Reqnroll, and FluentAssertions.
- Define API contracts and inter-service communication using SQS and EventBridge with the Team Lead.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture decisions, sprint planning, stand-ups, and client technical discussions.
- Support environment setup and infrastructure-as-code with the DevOps team on AWS.
Requirements
- 4+ years of backend development experience with strong C# and .NET expertise, including ASP.NET Core and .NET 6+.
- Experience with clean architecture, DDD, CQRS, repository patterns, and dependency injection.
- Experience building and integrating REST APIs, including OpenAPI and Swagger.
- Working knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, SQS, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Knowledge of JWT and OAuth 2.0 authentication.
- Brownfield experience integrating new services with existing systems.
- Experience with Docker and containerized workflows.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and Jira.
- Retail, e-commerce, or B2B commerce experience is preferred.
- Event-driven architecture experience with EventBridge or RabbitMQ is preferred.
- Keycloak and multi-realm identity management experience is preferred.
- EF Core with Npgsql experience is preferred.
- Promotional products or print-on-demand domain knowledge is preferred.
