Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction for authentication systems within the Identity squad.
- Lead the design and implementation of large-scale initiatives affecting user interaction.
- Mentor and develop senior engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Drive cross-team alignment on authentication standards and best practices.
- Represent Grafana Labs at meetups and conferences.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in distributed systems engineering with Go.
- Ability to define technical direction and drive architectural decisions independently.
- Experience building low-latency, high-throughput services in distributed environments.
- Track record of leading complex, multi-quarter initiatives across teams.
- Strong understanding of SLOs, SLIs, and system design for reliability and security.
- Excellent communication skills in English, able to convey complex decisions clearly.
- Expert-level understanding of modern identity standards and threat models.
