Responsibilities
- Set operating standards for the Product Team across product discovery, planning, and infrastructure management
- Turn ambiguous customer and business problems into executable plans with phases, sequencing, and KPIs
- Visit warehouses and speak with vendors to understand the event rental industry and customer needs
- Design and build polished user interfaces and distributed systems while making technical tradeoffs
- Improve engineering team predictability and velocity
- Develop agentic workflows that accelerate routine engineering and product delivery work
- Own production system health, visibility, and reliability while supporting new product development
- Bring Engineering, Design, Customer Experience, GTM, and Leadership perspectives together
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer
- Computer Science degree
- Experience designing distributed systems and event-driven architectures
- Interest and energy in the rapid evolution of AI
- Strong preference for experience leading high-performing engineering teams
- Strong preference for experience building SaaS and/or consumer marketplace products
- Strong preference for experience building FinTech products
- Strong preference for experience with Grails or Java/Spring, Angular or React, and RDBMS
