Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, test, document, and maintain critical cockpit display software.
- Develop and enhance ARINC 661 graphics libraries using C, C++, and OpenGL.
- Work on cockpit display system kernels, user-application interfaces, and graphics-rendering platforms.
- Perform software debugging and verification using Visual Studio, Lauterbach, and other development tools.
- Work with VAPS design tools to develop cockpit display widgets.
- Understand interfaces and behaviors of external software and hardware components.
- Support configuration management, change control, risk identification, and project deliverables.
- Collaborate with software, systems, verification, and cross-functional engineering teams.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of software development and verification experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with C and C++ and hands-on experience with OpenGL.
- Understanding of software development and verification activities, system software concepts, binary executables, debugging information, and operating system concepts.
- Experience with Visual Studio or similar development and debugging tools.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand software and hardware interfaces and work independently and collaboratively.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with ARINC 661, cockpit display systems, VAPS, Lauterbach, software configuration management, DOORS, SVN, JIRA, PREP, Confluence, structural coverage, and unit-test automation.
- Preferred exposure to aerospace, avionics, embedded systems, or safety-critical software development.
- Bachelor's Degree, B.Tech, or M.Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
