Base Salary
$100k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop test automation for subassembly and full-system checkouts, including pass/fail logic, calibration, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- Interface test PCs and edge devices with robots, DAQs, PLCs, sensors, actuators, cameras, motor controllers, and embedded devices over standard protocols.
- Build reliable operator-facing workflows, user interfaces, and test executives for factory technicians.
- Design data models and backend services to warehouse test results, track configurations, manage quality records, and ensure build traceability.
- Integrate localized test software with MES and factory systems such as OpenBOM, PLM, ERP, and inventory tools.
- Work directly with manufacturing, hardware, and embedded engineers to translate production needs into scalable software.
Requirements
- Experience or background in robotics, aerospace, defense, automotive, drones, satellites, medical devices, industrial automation, consumer hardware, or complex electromechanical manufacturing is preferred.
- Ability to write software that interfaces with physical equipment such as sensors and fixtures as well as cloud APIs or databases.
- Relevant experience may include Manufacturing Software Engineer, Test Automation Engineer, Production Software Engineer, Robotics Software Engineer, or MES/Factory Software Engineer roles.
- Ability to build an initial production system, support it on the factory floor, and iteratively develop it into a durable system.
