Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers delivering secure, reliable, governed People data across the enterprise.
- Create, maintain, review, and approve application designs with Solution Architects and shared services teams.
- Develop, maintain, and review maintainable software and automated unit, functional, and integration tests.
- Provide technical oversight for performance testing and ensure results meet non-functional requirements.
- Plan and oversee application deployments across non-production and production environments.
- Investigate technologies, resolve technical debt, and guide architecture, design, development, and operations practices.
- Provide development estimates, evaluate code quality, and communicate technical direction, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar field, or equivalent advanced-level experience.
- Expert-level software engineering experience with expansive and far-reaching knowledge.
- Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies, practices, concepts, and technologies.
- Advanced knowledge of at least one programming language and general knowledge of one or more additional programming languages.
- Ability to lead multiple efforts, influence stakeholders without authority, communicate technical business value, and mentor development teams.
- Preferred experience with GitLab Duo, operational data engineering, ETL Glue, Java, Python, Kafka, AWS Fargate, AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, AWS Batch, Amazon S3, Node.js, infrastructure as code, serverless frameworks, architectural design patterns, and event-driven architecture.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States, be at least 18 years old, meet attendance standards, and be able to travel or attend company and remote facilities as necessary.
