Base Salary

$213k - $263k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop multi-agent frameworks and tools for faster code writing and testing through spec-driven development and context-aware code generation.
  • Design and deploy agentic workflows for complex engineering tasks such as root cause analysis and automated triage.
  • Create specialized agents for debugging perception issues in real-world and simulated driving.
  • Develop data pipelines and evaluation strategies to deploy LLMs and agentic solutions into production.
  • Partner with engineering teams across Waymo to understand workflows and drive adoption of DevAI tools.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience building and deploying multi-agent frameworks and agentic AI systems.
  • Deep understanding of modern software development lifecycles and improving developer velocity.
  • Proven experience using spec-driven development methodologies.
  • Strong expertise with Large Language Models, including prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
  • Proficiency architecting and delivering complex, large-scale software systems.
  • At least 5 years of software development experience.
  • Preferred experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or other safety-critical systems.
  • Preferred experience with data engineering for large-scale ML model training, especially domain-specific code datasets.
  • A Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or a related field focused on AI/ML is preferred.
