Base Salary
$120k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements and deliver feature sets.
- Identify dependencies and develop design documents for product areas.
- Lead by example and mentor engineers while leveraging Agentic Engineering.
- Drive project plans, release plans, and work items with stakeholders and partners.
- Serve in rotation as a Designated Responsible Individual.
- Guide on-call engineers in monitoring systems and restoring services for simple issues.
- Maintain and improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, usability, observability, and performance.
- Leverage internal Microsoft solutions, peer work, open-source projects, and industry solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience with one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
- Preferred: master’s degree with 6+ years of experience, or bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience with generative AI, large language models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation solutions, and cloud-scale data platforms.
- Preferred: 1+ years leveraging AI coding agents to develop product features.
- Preferred: experience with large-scale distributed systems and knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, AWS, or similar cloud platforms.
- Preferred: demonstrated ownership of complex engineering projects and effective cross-team collaboration.
