Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable back-end software and services primarily using Python.
- Use Azure cloud services, including Functions, App Services, storage, and identity capabilities, to build reliable solutions.
- Design APIs and integrate back-end components with internal and customer-facing platforms.
- Apply software engineering practices to deliver maintainable, secure, tested, and production-ready solutions.
- Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and scalability issues across services and cloud workloads.
- Identify bottlenecks and improve the efficiency, resilience, and observability of back-end systems.
- Work independently and collaboratively across the company, including presenting work to colleagues.
Requirements
- Citizenship in one of the 32 NATO member states.
- At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer.
- A master's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- Strong experience with Python.
- A thorough understanding of computer systems, including operating systems, networking, and infrastructure.
- Interest in reusable, maintainable, secure, and well-tested software practices.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritize work independently, collaborate effectively, and perform under occasional pressure.
- Experience with Azure-native development, API design, and cloud-based architectures is a plus.
