Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and troubleshoot secure, scalable production software solutions.
- Review code written by other engineers and promote secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and reusable engineering patterns.
- Lead the effective use and validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and incident analysis.
- Coach engineers on responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, correctness, performance, and security validation.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve application and system operational stability.
- Lead evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams regarding architectural designs, technical capabilities, and system applicability.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Experience leading approved AI-assisted software development practices and establishing standards for validating AI outputs.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure, compliant engineering practices.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and related software engineering practices.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
- Preferred: experience with data architecture and design, modern front-end technologies, cloud technologies, GraphQL, and APIs.
