Responsibilities
- Design and evolve large-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems that handle high-volume traffic.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams and mentor senior engineers.
- Drive frontend and full-stack architecture decisions and cross-cutting platform initiatives.
- Improve rendering strategies, static asset delivery, backend-load efficiency, performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Improve deployment safety, rollout strategies, and failure recovery to reduce platform-wide incidents.
- Partner with Platform and Infrastructure teams on scaling, load balancing, caching, and lifecycle management.
- Write and ship high-quality production code primarily in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders to communicate complex technical concepts and project updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience focused on scalable system design and development.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks, preferably TypeScript, JavaScript, Svelte, or server-side rendering frameworks such as React, Next.js, and Vue.
- Proficiency in Node.js, Kubernetes, WebSockets, Pub/Sub, and related technologies.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts.
- Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guiding teams.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
