Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-scale data pipelines and backend services for forecasting, reach reports, and advertiser analytics.
- Collaborate with product teams to translate reporting requirements into reliable and performant systems.
- Build batch and real-time processing pipelines using distributed data processing tools.
- Establish data modeling practices and consistent, extensible data definitions.
- Ensure data quality, correctness, and completeness through monitoring, validation, and testing.
- Partner with infrastructure and platform teams to deliver cost-efficient, observable, and resilient systems.
- Automate and enforce data engineering, security, and data quality standards.
- Mentor and hire engineers, foster engineering excellence, and help shape broader technical direction.
- Participate in 24/7 platform support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar discipline.
- 5–8 years of software engineering experience with a strong background in data-intensive systems.
- Deep experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as AWS Kinesis and Flink.
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL best practices, and big data architecture.
- Experience building reporting pipelines or systems for forecasting, attribution, reach/frequency, or audience measurement.
- Exposure to ML-based forecasting systems or time-series modeling.
- Expertise managing large-volume streaming or batch processing platforms.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Databricks.
- Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions Workflows.
- Experience with microservice architecture principles and implementations.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker and EKS.
- Cloud services experience, especially AWS, is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
