Responsibilities
- Lead critical technical initiatives and develop technical roadmaps from prototyping through production.
- Design and deliver scalable cloud-based software architectures across service development, testing, integration, and monitoring.
- Improve algorithmic and trading systems for performance, scalability, maintainability, and production readiness.
- Research emerging technologies, build proofs of concept, and transition successful concepts into production systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, Product, Data Science, and other teams to address customer and stakeholder needs.
- Mentor and coach colleagues and promote maintainable, iterative, high-quality engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience in backend and algorithmic development in the cloud.
- 2–3 years of experience with Python, including object-oriented design.
- At least 3 years of experience onboarding, mentoring, and coaching colleagues.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including ECS, RDS, Lambda, Amazon Data Firehose, SQS, S3, and networking/IAM fundamentals.
- Demonstrated pragmatic delivery, strategic project execution, and cross-functional collaboration, especially with Product and Data Science teams.
- Strong communication, independent problem-solving, strategic and analytical thinking, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Full business proficiency in English.
- Energy industry experience is a preferred qualification.
