Base Salary

$180k - $220k/yr

Responsibilities

Define and maintain design tokens, a component library, and Tailwind conventions across the full product suite.
Build and own a production shadcn/ui-based component library that scales with the team.
Enforce WCAG accessibility standards and translate brand guidelines into code.
Establish consistent patterns for React Query, React Hook Form, and Zod.
Audit and own Biome configuration, Playwright end-to-end coverage, and frontend performance.
Integrate Claude Code, Cursor, and other AI coding tools into frontend workflows with guardrails for agent-written UI.
Design and ship conversational and streaming AI interface patterns for B2B users.

At least 5 years of experience building polished product interfaces, with a portfolio of shipped features.
Primary production ownership of a design system or component library, demonstrated through a public repository, portfolio, or detailed walkthrough.
Deep expertise in React, strict TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, and Radix UI.
Experience translating design intent into design tokens, component abstractions, and lint rules.
Proven use of AI coding tools in a production frontend environment.
Ability to serve as the sole frontend design authority at a fast-moving startup.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred experience includes streaming responses, generative views, conversational B2B interfaces, Slack Block Kit, Microsoft Teams Adaptive Cards, or Framer Motion.
