Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality full-stack software solutions.
- Build backend services with Java and Spring Boot and frontend applications with Angular, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
- Develop scalable REST microservices and optimize SQL database queries.
- Implement cloud-native solutions using OpenShift, containers, Linux, and Git.
- Refactor complex systems using object-oriented design principles and maintain secure, reliable code.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, traders, and senior stakeholders to define requirements and solution strategies.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Diagnose production issues and deliver tactical and strategic fixes.
- Support SBL and Equity Finance workflows, vendor gateway interactions, and broader capital-markets processes.
- Identify and mitigate risks, strengthen controls, and contribute to policies and procedures.
- Guide team members, coach employees, and lead complex assignments where applicable.
Requirements
- Experience in full-stack engineering with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, HTML/CSS, and TypeScript.
- Experience with SQL databases such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server, including advanced query optimization.
- Experience with OpenShift, containers, Linux, and Git in cloud-native delivery.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and experience refactoring complex systems.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with test-driven development.
- Experience in SBL or Equity Finance, including borrowing/lending workflows, recalls, returns, marks, collateral, booking flows, lifecycle events, and vendor gateway interactions.
- Working knowledge of Capital Markets and Front Office trading processes.
- Ability to operate in high-pressure environments with traders and senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including production issue diagnosis.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technology to business stakeholders and business needs to technical teams.
- Preferred experience with event-driven architectures, caching patterns, Kafka, or Solace.
- Preferred exposure to workflow automation, inventory optimization, funding optimization models, DevOps, observability tooling, scalable distributed systems, and the Prime Financing ecosystem.
