Responsibilities
- Design and implement APIs and middleware connecting AI agents to Node.js, .NET, Python, and other systems.
- Develop orchestration logic that routes work between rule-based systems and autonomous AI agents.
- Build validation services that enforce business rules between AI outputs and core systems.
- Use Python and PySpark to develop data pipelines supporting AI models and SQL-based transactional systems.
- Design and consume RESTful APIs and manage service-to-service communication in cloud environments, preferably Azure.
- Establish deployment pipelines with AI-specific testing, including prompt versioning, model regression testing, and logic-flow chaos testing.
- Use Git, Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes for modern development and delivery workflows.
- Mentor teams on integrating non-deterministic AI components into strictly typed enterprise applications.
- Lead and participate in Agile development ceremonies and provide technical leadership.
Requirements
- At least 7–10+ years of experience in software development or application engineering, including technical leadership responsibilities.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
- Experience developing applications in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, RESTful APIs, web-service integration, source control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to design scalable, high-performance software systems and troubleshoot complex technical problems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Preferred experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, event-driven or messaging architectures, federal IT systems, enterprise modernization, and mentoring or leading development teams.
