Base Salary
$130k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop reliable, performant, and maintainable backend services in Golang and Python
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable REST APIs
- Design and evolve database schemas and performant queries
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, quality engineers, designers, and product managers on end-to-end features
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests
- Monitor system health and improve logging, metrics, performance, and scalability
- Use AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to accelerate development and improve code quality
- Participate in code reviews and propose improvements to architecture and engineering practices
Requirements
- 2–5+ years of backend or full-stack development experience
- Hands-on experience with Golang and/or Python
- Strong understanding of designing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with relational databases such as Postgres and MySQL and ORMs such as Gin and Django
- Experience with unit and integration testing in Golang and/or Python
- Understanding of backend service scalability and performance optimization
- Comfort using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP is preferred
- Experience with gRPC services is preferred
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Honeycomb is preferred
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and security best practices is preferred
- Experience with backend performance or load testing is preferred
