Base Salary

$220k - $270k/yr

Responsibilities

Architect and lead the development of large-scale systems for data pipelines and data lakes.
Design and implement solutions for data availability, security, and scalability.
Make high-level architectural decisions regarding system design and technology choices.
Collaborate with product teams and engineers to build tools that support analytics and data-driven workflows.
Work with business stakeholders to create high-impact data products.
Collaborate with leadership to devise technical roadmaps.
Mentor engineers and foster a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.

At least 10 years of experience in large-scale distributed computing systems.
5+ years of experience managing live production environments with a focus on uptime.
Expert in SQL and proficient in technologies like Spark, Kafka, and Terraform.
Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT design patterns and orchestration tools.
Ability to design scalable and secure data models and architectures.
Hands-on experience with modern data storage technologies.
Strategic thinker with the ability to evaluate internal vs. third-party solutions.
Excellent communicator and collaborator across diverse teams.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
