Base Salary
$159k - $202k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze the security of applications and services and discover and address security issues.
- Build security automation and respond quickly to new threat scenarios.
- Perform application security reviews, penetration testing, security design reviews, threat modeling, secure code reviews, and security testing.
- Develop security tools, documentation, training, outreach, metrics, and improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshoot systems issues, analyze logs, automate tasks with command-line tools, and perform software development or research projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide security leadership and guidance to the organization.
- Assist with recruiting activities and administrative work.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .NET, C++, or a similar object-oriented language.
- At least 2 years of scripting, programming, and non-internship security code review experience.
- At least 2 years of troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating basic tasks with command-line tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or experience in IT security.
- Preferred experience includes at least 2 years in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security.
- Knowledge of HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP networking protocols is preferred.
- Experience with AWS products and services and security activities across software development lifecycle phases is preferred.
