Base Salary
$130k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in critical engineering projects that directly affect Priceline’s business evolution.
- Design and develop backend systems and APIs serving large-scale travel search traffic.
- Build low-latency, high-throughput transactional services using Java or similar programming languages.
- Use SQL to compose queries and investigate and analyze application data in real time.
- Understand the codebase, systems, and business requirements to implement effective application changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to product objectives, and communicate and compromise respectfully.
- Support continuous integration and automated testing practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering and development experience.
- Experience with Core Java or similar programming languages.
- Strong SQL query composition and analysis skills.
- Experience with Spring Framework, web services, and APIs.
- Experience with server-side JavaScript and Node.js.
- Experience influencing the use of Git and Gitflow.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, or cloud development is advantageous.
- Experience developing on GCP and AWS is preferred.
