Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build AI teammate capabilities from research thesis through working product.
- Implement experiments designed by the Applied Scientist and turn research results into production software.
- Deploy into product teams and drive the capability through integration and customer adoption.
- Measure and report adoption, identify breakdowns in host-team usage, and correct underlying causes.
- Partner with UX designers, product teams, and other organizations to deliver complete humorphic experiences.
- Transfer architecture and scaling responsibility to product teams with documentation and tests.
- Contribute reusable work to the shared humorphic layer.
- Write tested code, review code, operate Lab systems, and present work in internal reviews.
- Learn unfamiliar languages, runtimes, and problem domains as needed.
- Travel occasionally when working with deployed product teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Experience building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with Machine Learning and Large Language Model fundamentals, including model architecture, training and inference lifecycles, and execution optimization.
- Preferred: experience building products with large language models or agent frameworks.
- Preferred: experience learning unfamiliar languages or runtimes and shipping software in them.
- Preferred: experience embedding in another team and owning adoption of delivered work.
- Preferred: experience building native mobile applications and multimodal input or output.
- Preferred: experience partnering with design, product, and behavioral research from problem definition through product validation.
- Preferred: experience with interaction craft involving motion, timing, and responsive feedback.
