Responsibilities
- Partner with business management teams and desk heads to drive project requirements and prioritization.
- Design and implement enterprise applications emphasizing high availability, scalability, and reusability.
- Develop and maintain integrated frontend and backend systems for fixed income technology.
- Promote reusable frameworks across fixed income businesses and front-office teams.
- Balance client delivery timelines with governance, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience implementing large-scale applications across multiple geographical regions.
- Extensive experience with Java and multithreading programming.
- Experience and knowledge of fixed income products, low-latency programming, and event-driven programming.
- Experience with GraphQL and microservices architecture.
- Frontend experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and React or Angular.
- Backend experience with Java, Python, Node.js, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Oracle, Postgres, or MSSQL databases.
- Experience with Atlassian tools, Maven, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Unix shell scripting.
- Strong DevOps skills and excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities.
- Ability to collaborate with business managers, traders, and developers and adapt to new technologies.
- Knowledge of financial IT environments and experience in a similar front-office position is desired.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and compliance requirements is desired.
- Knowledge of AWS services, Kafka, AWS MSK or Confluent is desired.
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and Claude Code is desired.
