Responsibilities
- Define technical strategy for the Klaviyo backend.
- Create architectural roadmaps for platform upgrades and dependency management.
- Lead efforts to optimize backend and third-party dependencies.
- Oversee planning and rollout of major software releases.
- Drive initiatives to improve developer productivity metrics.
- Mentor experienced engineers to enhance their skills.
- Diagnose and resolve complex performance and reliability issues.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project alignment.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies to improve internal processes.
Requirements
- 12 years of experience in software development.
- BA or BS Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Deep expertise in programming languages like Go and Python.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
- Interest in AI and its applications in software development.
