Responsibilities
- Consult with client stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into best-practice AWS or Azure cloud architectures.
- Lead hands-on cloud infrastructure implementation and deployment using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Architect foundational cloud services for data lakes, data warehouses, and machine learning environments.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment, testing, and integration.
- Provide managed-services support and maintenance for client cloud environments, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
- Implement cloud security, governance, and cost-management practices.
- Support technical pre-sales activities, proposals, and presentations of technical solutions.
- Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to internal cloud practices and knowledge bases.
Requirements
- Substantial commercial experience in a DevOps or Cloud Consultant role with a record of delivering end-to-end solutions.
- Deep hands-on knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, Glue, EKS, and ECS.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell for scripting and automation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Knowledge of Docker and orchestration platforms including Kubernetes and ECS.
- Strong communication, consulting, analytical, and stakeholder-management abilities.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification or other relevant AWS certifications is desirable.
- Experience with Azure or GCP and cloud-native data services such as Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, or EMR is desirable.
