Base Salary
$262k - $364k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the roadmap for enabling agentic applications in Google Cloud and author concepts in partnership with Google leadership.
- Develop an intelligent query layer over multiple data sets and create a common onboarding journey across Gemini Cloud Assist, App Platform, Design Agent, and Observability.
- Own overall system design, architecture, implementation strategies, code quality, reliability, and performance.
- Drive collaboration across organizations, sites, and external partners to build Google Cloud-native and third-party agent and MCP ingestion and serving layers.
- Own complex, multidimensional roadmaps and collaborate with Distinguished Engineers and Google Fellows on exabyte-scale storage solutions for agentic applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++.
- 5 years of experience with design and architecture and with testing and launching software products.
- Experience with distributed computing, big data analytics, cloud computing, multitenant cloud, or AI.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Experience designing and building high-performance backend systems and developing distributed systems at scale.
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and provide constructive feedback, with strong problem-solving and technical decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to solve ambiguous problems spanning multiple components or domains.
Benefits
- US base pay is $262000 - $364000 USD, plus a 25% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
- The role is part of Google’s AI and Infrastructure organization and works on large-scale Google Cloud and agentic application systems.
