Responsibilities
- Scale and optimize the cloud-agnostic platform infrastructure powering Vault globally.
- Build control planes and automation that abstract infrastructure complexity for Thought Machine engineers and bank SREs.
- Design fault-tolerant architectures and disaster recovery and business continuity systems.
- Enhance shared observability suites for monitoring and operational insights.
- Scale and optimize databases and event-streaming platforms for performance, scalability, and cost.
- Develop, integrate, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure tooling and developer-facing utilities.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience building and scaling infrastructure platforms.
- Strong proficiency with Python or Golang for production-ready platform tooling.
- Deep understanding of container and orchestration internals, including Kubernetes and Docker.
- Hands-on experience extending and integrating Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana.
- Demonstrated ability to package and scale developer-facing infrastructure utilities with a focus on reliability.
- Desirable experience building cloud-agnostic solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Desirable technical depth in Kafka, Postgres, DuckDB, or other databases and event-streaming platforms.
