Senior Solutions Engineer - Calgary
CloudflareResponsibilities
- Identify customer initiatives and business problems and map them to Cloudflare solutions.
- Build relationships and technical champions within customer accounts.
- Develop and present customer presentations across all organizational levels of enterprise customers.
- Lead demonstrations and proof-of-concept activities for prospects and customers.
- Partner with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide technical sales support.
- Create professional content such as white papers and blog posts and share knowledge with peers.
- Represent and evangelize Cloudflare at developer, community, technology, cybersecurity, and industry events.
- Apply vertical and domain expertise to advise customers on best practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Solutions Engineer or in another customer-facing technical role involving CDN, security, networking, or SaaS.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Understanding of customer network and application architectures, including hybrid architectures with Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Knowledge or experience in application security, network security, SaaS environments, VPN and remote access, SIEM and log analytics platforms, and client operating systems and software distribution.
- Understanding of routing, subnetting, split tunnels, SD-WAN, local internet breakout, DDoS, malware, phishing, viruses, CDN providers, and internet security technologies.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate with senior executives.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and activities concurrently.
- Must be curious, driven, collaborative, and able to work with a sense of urgency.
- Authorization to receive software or technology controlled under applicable U.S. export control laws may be required without sponsorship for an export license.
