Responsibilities
- Ship foundational services to enable Klaviyo engineering to move faster with confidence.
- Develop an understanding of engineering needs across the organization.
- Design, develop, and deliver software to improve availability, scalability, latency, and cost efficiency.
- Create systems and processes for highly available and scalable applications.
- Leverage technologies such as Python, Go, AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Identify and implement cost-optimization opportunities across the platform.
Requirements
- BA or BS Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience operating and scaling complex distributed systems.
- Experience in a cloud-native environment.
- Proven experience developing applications in Python and/or Go.
- Fundamental understanding of Linux and networking stack.
- Experience with Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and observability tools.
