Base Salary
$205k - $267k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship production software spanning internal tools, user-facing products, and platform capabilities for drug development.
- Use LLMs, agentic coding systems, and retrieval-augmented pipelines as part of daily engineering workflows.
- Collaborate directly with clinical, regulatory, business development, operations, engineering, data science, product, and domain teams.
- Build composable systems with clean APIs, structured schemas, and machine-readable documentation.
- Review and enable code contributions from product managers, designers, and domain experts while maintaining quality, security, and maintainability.
- Create automated guardrails such as security scanners, user skill files, and agents that standardize non-engineer code.
- Prototype, test, gather feedback, and iterate on ideas rapidly.
Requirements
- Track record of shipping production systems in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Daily experience using AI tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, and agentic workflows.
- Strong software fundamentals, including clean maintainable code, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and debugging complex problems.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Ability to understand clinical, regulatory, or operational problems and make informed product decisions.
- Experience working in 0-to-1 or early-stage environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in pharma, biotech, or life sciences, along with genuine curiosity about the domain.
